Spa industry thought leader Asmar named among Canada’s top female entrepreneurs

Noel Asmar, the founder and CEO of uniform design company Noel Asmar Group, has been named in a list ranking the top 100 female entrepreneurs in Canada.

The head of the Vancouver-headquartered company founded SpaUniforms.com and also sits on the board of the International Spa Association. Her multi-division corporation was founded in 2002, and currently services clients in more than 60 countries.

The annual W100 list is compiled by media companies Profit and Chatelaine and rankings are determined by a formula that considers the size, growth rate and profitability of the entrepreneurs’ companies. Asmar was placed 65th in the 2014 list.

“I feel so honoured to be amongst all these clever, ultra-successful women and humbled by the recognition. As a busy female entrepreneur, focused on growing my brand globally and raising a young family, I just don’t have time to reflect on my own success, so when I was nominated by the BDC – Business Development Bank of Canada, I was very touched and proud to be chosen,” said Asmar, who added that she hopes to inspire other women to feel empowered to follow their passions.

The Noel Asmar brand is divided into several divisions, including Uniforms, Resort wear, Fitness, Equestrian, Candles, Pedicure Bowls and Accessories. For more information, please visit www.noelasmar.com.
